James Bond as a wedding theme has something for everyone; luxury for the bride and enough manliness for the groom. Besides which man does not want to look as good as James Bond on their wedding day.
Invitation
Invitation is the first thing where the quest will get a hint of the theme which also prepares them to get acquainted with it and possibly inspire them to dress up to the theme.
Venue and decoration
As James Bond has been everywhere this wedding theme is suitable for quite many locations. One ideal venue would be Villa del Balbianello in Italy, which was an actual shooting location for Casino Royale. Both ceremony and reception could take place in the Villa so no transportation would be needed and the quests could go straight on having cocktails after the ceremony.
In decoration the main colors would be black and gold with some splashes of gold and red staying with the elegant and luxurious theme.
If any Transportation would be needed the bride and groom would then naturally leave the venue with a nice sports car or Aston Martin.
Wedding attire
Elegance, Glamour and luxury are very much needed in this theme which gives great opportunities for both the bride and the groom. Bride is the bond girl of the wedding, she could have something formfitting and elegant with a stylish up do. For accessories diamonds are the only way to go, as we know “diamonds are forever”.
For the groom a tuxedo is a must. Not forgetting the groomsmen and bridesmaids.
Food and beverage
With this theme martinis, champagne and a cocktail bar are a must. Champagne would be served in a tower which would also work as decoration. To give the guests some new experiences, bartenders could different kinds martinis like apple martinis or blueberry martinis etc.
When thinking of food small cocktail food would be the way to go. Lots of small bite size snacks, both salt and sweet of course.
Elegant and simplistic, black and white cake with decoration fitting to the theme.
Entertainment
Music for the evening will naturally partly come from the movies:
Skyfall – Adele
Tomorrow Never Dies – Sheryl Crow
Diamonds Are Forever – Shirley Bassey
Live And Let Die – Paul McCartney & Wings
Goldfinger” – Shirley Bassey
