The venue is a brand new location that can fit 60-130 people depending on the layout a couple decides. The location also includes a beautiful covered terrace to enjoy the beautiful Finnish Summer. It is a blank canvas that encourages newlyweds to decorate according to their personal desires. With a unique service that takes care of everything from the floral arrangements, performer, and also a partner professional photography studio. They even have an option for couples to have their event catered at Willa Söder. Other venues lack the number of partner business held by Willa Söder, these partnerships help strength the services provided by such a young company.

Willa Söder is located in the beautiful Sipoo Söderkulla. A central location no matter where you are in southern Finland. It is the creation of Sini Koponen, a previous Guess brand retail manager with more the 15 years experience in the fashion industry. Before building began on Willa Söder, Sini had a huge interest in interior design, as well as hosting parties for friends and family. She soon turned that hobby into her primary focus. Wedding theme: Pearls

Pearls – those tiny little but beautiful things. Since they are quite elegant, this theme helps you to get ideas around pearls.

Venue:
As pearls may be considered old-fashioned jewellery, I thought that the ceremony could take place in Porvoo Cathedral. Porvoo Cathedral is an idyllic yet a historic church with a nice interior. For the reception I thought of Villa Haikko, this stylish insular villa. Villa Haikko is a part of Haikko Manor, which is also in Porvoo. Both places are light coloured and so are the pearls.

Wedding attire:
The wedding gown could have some lace on it or maybe even pearls. Pearls could also be hair decors and they could also be in the wedding bouquet. Wedding bouquet would also be white coloured. The groom would wear a dark grey suit with a white tie.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Invitations and decorations:
Invitations could be simple and decorated with pearls. Decorations are naturally based on pearls and white colour. In weddings small details are important.

 

Food and beverage:
The wedding could take place in the beginning of summer, when there are new potatoes in the market. There could also be served salmon. Generally the food would be light and fresh. The meal would be a three course meal, first there would be some fresh salad, then the main course and after that the dessert. Dessert could be parfaits and the traditional wedding cake could be decorated with pearls. Beverages would be different kinds of wines and the toast could be raised with champagne.

Flowers:
Flowers would be white, for example hydrangeas and roses. Flower bouquet could be entirely made of pearls or then it could be made out of white flowers and be decorated with pearls.

Music would be some classical music, like Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Mozart.

Burgundy Wedding Theme

Burgundy is a dark red color like red wine. The particular color has been really popular this fall in clothes, accessories and interior so why not combine it also to weddings. The wedding is held in the late summer. The venue would be in a green and rich garden with a lot of space and maybe the most ideal venue for this theme would be a wine yard. However here in Finland we do not have those but for example France and Germany are very good choices. The wedding ceremony is held in the garden as well as the reception. The reception will be held under beautifully decorated tent and in the ceremony the couple is standing under a canopy, in garden.

Options: Svartå Manor, Villa Hvittorp, Olkkalan kartano (Manor), (Mosel River Vineyard Germany)

• The tent will be decorated with burgundy, silver, gold and dark details.

The bride will wear an ivory or cream colored light lace wedding dress. The accessories will be chosen by burgundy color like the bouquet, jewelries and hair accessories. The burgundy color will be combined into makeup also. The bridesmaids will wear wavy and light semi short burgundy dresses. The hair is up with a side bun except the bride who will have hair open with light waves and decorated with flowers. The groom will wear relaxed but elegant clothes. Fitted dress shirt with burgundy bow and suspenders and fitted dark trousers and classy leather shoes. The burgundy bouquets are made from black roses or calla lilies.

The food in the wedding will be quite classical. There will be an appetizer table with different fresh, unique cocktail pieces. The main course will be served to tables which is either a steak with red wine sauce, pikeperch or vegetarian risotto. There will be a dessert table with burgundy macarons and big wedding cake with burgundy details. Guests drink either red or white wine with appetizer and main course and can get special beer or cider from the fancy drinks table. In the beginning of reception and with dessert there will be Champaign.

There will be a pianist and singers entertaining the whole evening.  The wedding will be relaxed and warm all in all. In some point talented bartenders will come and make fancy cocktails to the guests. No transportation will be needed because the ceremony and reception are in the same place. To the venue guests arrive themselves.

Luxurious and elegant wedding

We all want to create something new by being inspired of some certain elements in our lives. For me the inspiration to this theme came from the love to my favorite team: Boston Bruins. The black and gold has been their colors since they started in 1920’s.

When I started to study more about the color combination of black and gold, I saw how perfectly they fit together to create a luxurious feeling.

In general, black and gold make you feel wealthy and when it comes to wedding, we all want to feel like being royalty for that one special day.

When choosing a venue for the black and gold wedding,bthe main point is to be able to create black and gold effects. A good example where you can arrange black and gold weddings is the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fountains in front of the Hotel with the lights, will create a black and gold effect during the beautiful evening.

As wedding decorations you can use golden candles, black chair covers with golden ribbons, white flowers in black and gold vases and some lighting to create a night sky look.

Catering and Music

The catering in weddings usually a buffet, which leave the couple a great choice of what they want to offer for the guests. The main reason for buffet is also the possibilities of guests having different allergies and food orientation.

As original wedding dance is the classical wedding waltz, played by a local band with classical instruments. These instruments are usually black and gold colored.
